The Future of Media is Human

For decades, media was shaped by institutions. Today, it is being reimagined through people.

We’re living in an era of personality-driven media — where everyone has the tools to tell stories, build community, and shape culture.

Audiences no longer follow platforms. They follow people.

From creators and journalists to leaders and brands, those who communicate with authenticity and purpose are the ones who earn attention and trust.

When we design media for people — and empower every voice to participate — we create movements grounded in empathy, powered by communities, and built to last.

The organizations that embrace this shift will own the next decade of influence and growth.

The future of media isn’t B2B or B2C. It’s human-to-human.

Why Now?

  • Audiences spend 8× more time daily with creators than publisher sites.

  • 80% of CMOs say creator-led content outperforms brand content.

  • Trust in institutions is declining — trust in people continues to rise.

  • We are entering an era where story, not scale, will determine influence.

The world doesn’t need more content. It needs human-centered storytelling that connects, educates, and inspires action.

About Ann Marinovich

Builder. Storyteller. Optimist.

I build content platforms and campaigns that drive growth, fuel innovation, and help organizations achieve ambitious goals.

My career has been shaped by a unique vantage point:
I’ve worked on both the editorial and business sides of global media organizations, giving me a rare understanding of where content, product, and growth intersect.

I’ve led business transformation at Forbes, TIME, The Information, Adweek, and multiple early-stage startups, guiding teams across editorial, product, analytics, design, partnerships, subscriptions, events, revenue, and emerging storytelling formats.

I have also designed award-winning, multichannel campaigns that turn complex ideas into compelling, human-centered stories.

That means I know something most leaders never fully see:

Storytelling isn’t separate from business strategy.
It is the strategy.

But more than anything, I believe in using storytelling — and my voice — to make a positive impact in the world.

I build content that drives results and stories that drive change.

Moments that Matter

Four women sitting on a stage, each holding a microphone, engaging in a panel discussion at an outdoor event. They are smiling and appear lively. There is a large screen behind them displaying names and photos, and a decorative structure with trees and letters in the background.

My favorite stories come to life through people — in the field, on stage, and in conversation. These moments reflect the work, places, and partnerships that remind me why storytelling done with purpose creates real and lasting impact.

Human-to-human isn’t just how we communicate. It’s how we move people, build business, and create lasting impact.
